On May 7, 2016 Torre a Cenaia hosts an event without precedent, for which they are expected about 4,000 people, and that will mark the history of the estate.
The 500 hectares of unspoiled countryside of Torre a Cenaia are the ideal set for INFERNO RUN (HELL RUN), a competitive and non-competitive race which is characterized by the massive presence of mud and natural and artificial obstacles to overcome, more than 20!
The trail is about 12 km and takes you through the whole estate: it will be a unique opportunity to visit its most hidden places, which are inaccessible to the public throughout the year, as this is a large private reserve, in which the human presence must be reduced to the minimum in order to not disturb the wildlife that here lives.
Everyone can participate and it is not asked to be a superhero! Just wanting to have fun and to help other competitors. Yes because some obstacles are impossible to overcome on their own. For this reason no one runs alone, only together we can overcome all the obstacles and difficulties of the route.And in case you do not feel to face a challenge, there is no problem! It’s always available an alternative route that avoids the obstacle. Only those who dispute the competitive race will necessarily have to face all obstacles, if they do not want to suffer a penalty as determined by the regulation on which the judges will monitor.
Participants come from all over of Italy and Europe, many of them come with quirky outfits: INFERNO RUN was born to have fun, to amaze and surprise, and there will be special prizes for the most original costumes.It ‘s a great and funny adventure in which you will put to the test as you can, helped by your teammates, or by strangers (only unknown until then!), helping yourself the “needy” you will meet along your path.
Essential: the medical certificate! For those who dispute the competitive session it is required the B1, for everyone else simply the common certificate given by the family doctor for non competitive sports activities.Without the medical certificate it is not possible to be allowed. It can be uploaded to the web at the time of enrollment or delivered to the reception desk on the day of the event, when you are collecting your start number.
If you sign up as a team is better! Because the subscription price is lower, and because you will have next to you at any time a group that will help you to overcome obstacles … but mostly because you will have more fun. To be part of a team you must be at least 4; the registration will be made by a team leader, who can load online medical certificates of members, better in a single file.
The route will cross canals and ponds, so it is recommended to wear light clothes and preferably synthetics, for not overly burdening once impregnated with water and mud. After the race many of the clothes will be unusable: INFERNO RUN will provide a collection point for the recycling of t-shirts, shorts and shoes and, it will be possible the donation to the charity of the clothes once restored for use. Very useful will be the fitness gloves, essential to protect your hands and to better face the many obstacles in the path.
Each obstacle will be garrisoned not only by the judges and by the INFERNO RUN volunteers but also by the staff of 118 who will report to an area specially equipped and several ambulances placed along the route, to provide aid and support to each participant at any place and any time of the event. We’re all going to hell, but in total safety.
In the village, set in the large park in front of the Agricultural Craft Brewery J63, there will be entertainment for the whole day and, from the afternoon until the evening, DJ and band will take turns on stage for a live music marathon. The Staff of the Brewery J63 will provide the catering service for the whole duration of the event and until the evening: there will be sandwiches, street food dishes, grilled meats, but especially good agricultural craft beer! A part of the event proceeds will be donated to charity to the Foundation Tommasino Bacciotti ONLUS Florence for the study, care, assistance and information on childhood brain tumors.

Water, mud, barricades, tires, hay bales, tubs with ice, fearsome monkey bars and railings suspended on the water … Torre a Cenaia is preparing to become a true circle of hell. We will have to run, to jump, to sweat … in short, it will be something amazing!
